Dr. Jean-Philippe Vaccani is pediatric otolaryngologist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. He finished residency at the Universityof Ottawa and then completed fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne,Australia. He has been program director since 2010 and brought the program through a successful accreditation process. His clinical interests include the management of pediatric airway conditions and endoscopic ear surgery. His academic interests include curriculum development. The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada has chosen the specialty of Otolaryngology – Head &Neck Surgery to be in the first cohort of its Competence by Design program. Dr. Vaccani sits on the specialty committee for Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and is chair-elect of Surgical Foundations Advisory Committee.
