Daniel Dubois received his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Manitoba and his Anesthesiology residency training at the University of Ottawa. In 2014 he undertook a novel fellowship training program in Perioperative Medicine at the University of Manitoba. His training included a focus on postoperative care of high risk patients, echocardiography and critical care.

Since returning to Ottawa in 2015 he has taken on the role of Associate Program Director and CBD lead for the University of Ottawa Anesthesia Residency training program. The University of Ottawa Anesthesiology program is the second CBD pilot project and recently introduced their inaugural cohort of CBME residents July.1st, 2015.

He is actively involved with the ongoing planning and implementation of CBD for his specialty nationally with the specialty committee of the Association of Canadian University Departments of Anesthesia. Locally he is working with PGME within his University to share his knowledge and experience with CBD to develop educational platforms and assessment tools which span all specialties.
